A star studded Dollar East Exchange Company lineup outplayed Kaaf Engineering in this low scoring fixture of the Dollar East Hill Park Ramzan Tournament. Batting first Kaaf Engineering were off to a dismal start. Muhammad Waheed was just off the mark when he lost his wicket. Adeel Khan and Abdul Rauf steadied the innings with scoring 26 and 19 runs respectively. Aqib Rizvi looked in good form as he went on to score 36 runs off 24 balls. He hit 3 fours and equal amount of sixes but he fell prey to the magician Saeed Ajmal. The rest of the batting lineup could not put up a good show, as the bowlers were in top form. The star spinner finished the game with a five wicket haul at the cost of just 18 runs. Other than Saeed Ajmal, it was Usman Qadir who got 2 wickets while Saadat Munir and Irfan claimed one wicket each. Kaaf Engineering had no answers to this brilliant display of bowling, and were all out for 92 runs in the 18th over.
This could have been a very easy chase for Dollar East Exchange Company as they boasted off an experienced batting lineup. But as Kamran Akmal lost his wicket, difficulties started for Dollar East Exchange Company. Ejaz Shah played cautiously but was unable to shift gears as he lost his wicket when he had scored 16 runs off 22 balls. Before troubles could increase for the batting side, Salman Butt and Khurrum Shehzad held the innings together. With all their experience, both batsman played carefully and brought their team back on track. Haidar Ali took 3 wickets, Zahid Mansoor got 2 wickets while Hasan Mehmood claimed one scalp. But the target for too small to defend and was easily chased down in the 19th over.
