EFU Life Assurance came in to bat first & were off to a dreadful start loosing 4 wickets inside the powerplay. The bowlers then never let go off the momentum they got & completely steam rolled over the batting lineup. Batsmen struggled to spend some time at the crease as the bowlers kept on picking up wickets at quick successions not allowing the batsmen to settle in. Umer Hussain & Hamza Rizwan put up some sort of a partnership. The duo showed some late flourish taking their side to a respectable total. Umer Hussain scored 23 runs off 26 deliveries where as Hamza Rizwan scored 23 runs off 22 deliveries. The rest of the batting lineup completely collapsed as Jawad Siddiqui tore apart the batting lineup picking up 4 wickets. He found good support from Dawood Saeed & Muhammad Talha Alam who managed to pick up a couple of wickets as well. EFU Life Assurance were bowled out for 127 runs in 19.5 overs.
Salam Takaful Pakistan Limited came in to chase this target & were off to a flying start. Both their openers were in fine form & they made full use of their form completely blowing away the bowlers. Hammad Mughal & Subhan Ali put up a dominant partnership of 128 runs simply blowing away the opposition out of proportion. Hammad Mughal took the attack towards the bowlers from word go hitting out every bowler that was brought into the attack. He single handedly picked apart the bowlers as he played a sublime knock of 81 runs off 51 deliveries. He found good support from Subhan Ali who was rock solid from the other end. He kept on rotating the strike & managed to score boundaries at regular intervals. He played a sensible knock of 29 runs off 24 deliveries not allowing the bowlers to get even a glimmer of hope.
