Sam Lands went against Rising Stars on 20th November at TMC Cricket Ground.
Batting first, Rising Stars posted a total of 152 at the loss of 8 wickets. The top-order failed, as they were unable to contribute significantly. However, it was the middle-order batters, Arsalan Farooq and Ahmed Altaf, who marked an impact. They scored 55 and 46 runs respectively, hitting a total of 13 boundaries. Waqas Siddique bagged 2 wickets, while five other bowlers took a wicket each.
Sam Lands opened the innings with Jaseem Khan and Rana Adresh, scoring 11 and 20 runs respectively. Their wickets were knocked off by Hassan Raza. However, it was Kamran Wali who displayed temperament, as he smashed 72 off 32 balls. He played at a strike rate of 225. Muhammad Iqbal’s cameo also contributed significantly to the score.
As a result, Sam Lands chased the score in 14 overs with 7 wickets to spare.
