Breakthru came in to bat first & were off to a flying start. Both their openers were in fine form & they made full use of their form. Saqib Malik & Affan Alvi put up a partnership of 150+ runs completely dominating the bowlers. Both the batsmen were scoring at a high rate striking the ball towards all parts of the ground. The bowlers tried everything they had in their arsenal but nothing worked against the openers as they scored boundaries at ease. Evey bowler that was brought into the attack was hit out of the attack as there was some clean power hitting on display from both the batsmen. Saqib Malik played a fiery knock of 89 runs off just 58 deliveries. Affan Alvi was equally good as he played a sublime knock of 81 runs off just 49 deliveries. Hammad Anwar & Fahad Anwar kept the momentum going as they scored 19 runs off 7 deliveries & 14 runs off 6 deliveries respectively. Breakthru posted a mammoth total of 225 runs for the loss of 2 wickets.
Guru Group came in to chase this target & were off to a shaky start. Despite loosing 2 wickets inside the powerplay they were scoring at a healthy rate. Khalid Bin Waheed & Arhum Malik then put up a solid partnership bringing their team back into the match. Arhum Malik took the attack towards the bowlers as he scored at a quick rate. Khalid Bin Waheed from the other end played second fiddle to him as he kept on rotating the strike & scoring boundaries at regular intervals. He departed after scoring 39 runs off 39 deliveries. Once he was dismissed the bowlers then made their comeback. The bowlers then made life difficult for the batsmen as they kept on picking up wickets at regular intervals not allowing the batsmen to settle in. Arhum Malik departed after playing a sublime knock of 64 runs off 38 deliveries. The rest of the batting lineup completely collapsed as batsmen struggled to spend some time at the crease. Taha Terwari lead the bowling attack picking up 4 wickets. He found good support from Shamim Afridi who picked up a couple of wickets. Affan Alvi, Hassan Ahmed & Hammad Khan picked up a wicket each.
