Foundation Estate played against Scorchers Stars as part of the Sheikhani Premier League at Asghar Ali Shah Stadium ground. Foundation Estate batted first and their openers cheaply with Usman being dismissed for 4 runs and Adnan for 9 runs. Arbab and Zain then knocked 17 runs each and but none of the other batsmen could even reach double figures as Foundation Estate crumbled to 92 all out in just 17.2 overs. For stars, Saad Arbi was the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets while Umair and Waleed took 2 wickets each while Waqas picked up a wicket.
Chasing a low total can be tricky and it was a unique situation whereby one opener Shahzaib Dyre got a well fought half century as he scored 53 runs off 63 balls while none of the other batsmen got into double figures. Waseem was out for 1 while Haris and Muzammil got ducks and Atif scored 2 runs. Waleed got 7 runs and Bilal got 9 runs and Scorchers Stars trudged along on a difficult pitch and finally reached home for the loss of 7 wickets and with more than an over to spare. For Foundation Estate, their bowlers fought well as Zain got 3 wickets while Mustafa, A Basit and Saad took a wicket each and in the end Scorchers Stars emerged as the victors.
Scorchers Stars won by 3 wickets and qualified for the final.
