Royal Stars batted first against Abu Bakar XI with openers Khizar and Saad leading from the front. Khizar impressed in his knock of 52 to set a solid foundation for his side. Saad chipped in with 20 and an in form Shaheer scored 26 runs. The team lost wickets on occasion but managed to post a competitive 169 for 5 in 20 overs. Abu Bakar XI bowlers suffered at the hands of some fine batting with Abban being the most successful bowler for his side with 3 wickets.
In response, with the exception of Waleed who scored 37 runs, none of the Abu Bakar XI batsmen were able to keep their wickets intact. It was Shaheer Azim who decimated the opposition picking up 5 wickets in his brutal spell of 3 overs. Hammad Masood also picked up a couple with the rest of the bowling unit chipping in. Abu Bakar XI were bowled out for 149 runs.
