Dolphins batted first against Hawks at the Khatri Super League Season 2 losing opener Abdul Hameed for duck. The team fumbled early on, getting off to some decent starts but unable to capitalize any further. Asad Yaqoobani contributed 34 runs at the top before the middle order took over. Kashif Moosani and Asim Arbani worked well together to boost their side's total. Kashif knocked a cameo of 31 but Asim really shined. His blistering 66 off 34 included 6 sixes as Dolphins ended at 163 for 6 in 20 overs. Hawks bowler Kashif Kunra was solid in his spell, picking up 3 wickets.
In response, Hawks were simply outdone in the chase. The team lost wickets in regular interval with Dolphins duo Shahriyar Gubeetwala and Asad Yaqoobani giving away nothing. They took a combined 8 wickets to bowl out the opposition for just 123 runs in 15.4 overs. Opener Adeel Bipra was the top scorer for his with 26 runs as the squad simply could not pull it together.
