Meezan Bank came in to bat first & were off to a flying start. Despite loosing only 1 wicket inside the powerplay they were scoring at a high rate. Ahmed Baig & Faisal Iqbal put up a partnership of 50+ runs launching their team to a strong start. Ahmed Baig played a sublime innings of 53 runs off 38 deliveries. Faisal Iqbal also played a solid knock of 49 runs off 40 deliveries. Once the duo was dismissed the bowlers then made their comeback as they started to pick up wickets at regular intervals not allowing the batsmen to settle in. The middle order completely collapsed as the bowlers bowled at tight line & lengths. Sayyam Khan Afridi came in towards the back end of the innings & played a cameo of 21 runs off just 8 deliveries. Ali Abrar lead the bowling lineup picking up 3 wickets. He found good support from Danish Farooqi who picked up a couple of wickets. Meezan Bank posted a total of 165 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.
Shan Foods came in to chase this target & were off to a decent start. Despite loosing 2 wickets inside the powerplay they were scoring at a healthy rate. Muhammad Tehseen & Maqsood Ahmed put up a decent partnership at the top as Muhammad Tehseen scored 13 off 11 & Maqsood Ahmed scored 21 off 18. Inam Baloch & Furqan Majeed then came in & put up a decent partnership as well. Inam Baloch managed to score 19 runs off 16 deliveries where as Furqan Majeed anchored the innings as he played a solid knock of 44 runs off 31 deliveries. The bowlers were able to pickup wickets regularly but were unable to stem the flow of runs. Batsmen came in & kept the score board ticking. Adnan khalid came in towards the back end of the innings & scored 17 runs off 12 deliveries taking his team over the line in a nail biting thriller. Naimat Bilal Afridi lead the bowling lineup as he picked up 3 wickets. He found good support from Sayyam Khan Afridi who picked up a couple of wickets as well but it wasn’t enough to stop the batting side from chasing down the target.
