Shan Foods took the match down to the wire in a heated contest against IDL Marketing.
Batting first, IDL Marketing posted a modest 140 on the board. Their openers did not fire and the middle order’s lackluster performance set them back considerably. Ahtram ul Haq at No. 3 scored 21 off 13 but lost his wicket at a crucial stage as wickets on the other end also kept tumbling. Finally, No. 8 batsman Usman Butt stood his ground and managed to score 46 from 39 balls. His innings gave IDL Marketing a decent score of 140 to defend. Samano Khan, Shiraz Ali, and Meraj Khan contributed well to the bowling efforts, picking two wickets each.
In response, IDL Marketing bowlers struck upfront, removing Shan Foods’ openers early on. Abdul Rehman and Furqan Majeed then consolidated a partnership to get the chase back on track. Rehman made 36 off 35, while Furqan struck a clinical half century alongside. IDL Marketing paved their way back into the game with a few quick wickets. Usman Maqsood collected 3 wickets for just 20 runs in his 4 overs. The match was poised equally but Danish Farooqi got Shan Foods over the line at the very end.
In a considerably close match, Shan Foods won by 2 wickets.
