Siccotel and Air 1 Travels and Tours went against each other on 4th October at Rashid Latif Cricket Academy.
Shehryar Azhar and Abdul Wahab opened the match for Siccotel. Sheryar got out on 4 runs only while Wahab was dismissed on a duck. Mohsin Ahmed, the one-down batter, was able to stabilise the innings, as he played a knock of 32 runs. The bowlers dominated, with Sami Ullah and Shoaib Saleem leading the attack. Both bagged 3 wickets each in 4 and 3 overs respectively. In addition to this, Noman Saleem and Waqas Aslam bagged 2 wickets each. The batters displayed a sloppy effort, as 5 of them lost wickets on a duck. Hence, Siccotel posted a total of 96 runs only.
With less pressure due to the low target, Naveed Saleem and Noman Saleem opened the innings for Air 1. However, both lost wickets on low scores of 2 and 19 respectively. Regardless of the low score, the bowlers from Siccotel did not miss a chance to build pressure on the batters. Hamza Qureshi was phenomenal with the ball, as he knocked out 4 wickets. Saeed Khan, the highest scorer for Air 1, scored 28 runs off 40 balls.
Therefore, the bowlers of Siccotel were successful in building pressure and defeated the batters of Air 1. They bagged victory in the 19th over, dismissing all the batters on 88 runs only.
