Siemens CC defeated Spartans in a 34th Challengers Corporate Cup match.
Spartans batted first and were off to an unfortunate start, losing both openers for golden ducks. After this, none of the batsmen were able to contribute meaningfully to help the team except for Abdul Samad and Abdul Ghani Jawed who scored 18 runs each. They reached a very small total of 73 runs. Siemens CC’s Zain Jawed was the lead wicket taker with 4 wickets.
Although Siemens CC lost both openers for single digit scores, Muhammad Ahmed Hussain and Sami Ansari scored 38 runs and 20 runs respectively, which was enough for the team to chase down the low total. They were able to win in just 8 overs. The bowling attack was weak in front of the batsmen.
Siemens CC won easily by 8 wickets.
