Smashers XI batted first against Royal Stars in a match that turned out to be a complete one sided affair. Smashers lost their openers cheaply in single digits early on before Sahir Khan's 14, Shiraz Chuhan's 37 and Zia Moin's 30 helpe stabilize the innings. Royal Stars bowlers Umair Nasir and Shaheer Azim were in top form picking up 3 wickets each in their spell to restrict the opposition to 148 for 8 in 18 overs. Despite a powerful start however, the bowling side let things slip in the middle order.
In response, Royal Stars were simply outdone by the Smashers bowling unit. Dismissed for just 92 runs in 14.4 overs, Royal Stars fell apart from the very first ball in the chase. Opener Umair Nasir sparked the collapse after he was dismissed for just 1 run. Smashers bowlers kept at it with Bilal, Zia and Moin taking 2 wickets each. Wasif was the top scorer for his side with 22 runs.
Smashers XI won by a mammoth 56 runs.
