The Southshore Titans beat the Karachi Grammar School in the PSSO Tournament semi finals at the Hill Park Cricket Ground on 17-11-2015.
Southshore elected to bat first after winning the toss and posted 135 on the board in their 20 overs. Their batsmen were able to get to starts but the run rate was halted by Ali Anjum, and the pressure created led to wickets dropping on the other end. Umair Paracha was the top scorer for Southshore scoring 26 of just 17 balls before being dismissed by Zair Riaz. Ali Anjum was KGS' best bowler on the day, picking up 2 wickets at a miserly economy of 3.5. Ali Rezah Pabaney also had an outstanding day with the ball, picking up 3 wickets.
In response to Southshore's 135, Karachi Grammar School fell short by 25 runs. Southshore was able to pick up crucial early wickets, including the all important breakthrough of Zair Riaz on just 9. Captain Ghasharib Shoukats run out was a big blow to KGS' hopes of any chance at the final. Star batsmen Khizer Saqib kept the chase alive with an outstanding innings of 46 not out but the other batsmen's faliure to hold up one end of the crease was what resulted in Grammar's downfall. Umair Paracha was also the outstanding bowler of the match for Southshore, picking up 4 wickets at an economy just a shade over 5.
