Suleman Textile Stallions took on Rising Stars in the 24th Challengers Cup.
The Stallions' batsmen got off to a dominating start in the first innings. Opener Najeeb Ullah Khan produced a spirited half century, with 6 fours and 2 sixes to his name. His batting companions also contributed usefully keeping the scoring rate around 9 runs an over. Some solid partnerships in the middle propelled Stallions to 175.
Rising Stars' batsmen never looked like they were in the game throughout the second innings. A sluggish opening stand was followed by a middle order collapse. Scoring at less than 6 runs an over, Stars' lackluster effort was no match for the daunting target on the board. Ahsan Ullah's 4 wickets for 12 runs significantly damaged any chances of the batting team consolidating partnerships. The innings closed with Rising Stars posting just 116 runs.
The Stallions won by 59 runs.
