Steel 11 v Chiniot United
Khas & Viper Premier League- Final
Steel 11 batted first and were off to a solid start with both openers Shoaib Nisar (40) and Abdullah (33) contributing runs with the bat. The team lost wickets occassionally but kept the scoreboard ticking to boost a sizeable total. Hamza Jameel's cameo of 32 runs at a strike rate of 246 rocked the bowlers who were unable to get things right. He was accompanied by Rizwan who showed no mercy, decimating the opposition for a blistering 53 runs off just 18 balls. Chiniot's bowlers were helpless against the batting onslaught and were unable to restrict Steel 11 who posted a massive target of 224 runs in 20 overs.
Chiniot United stumbled in their chase, losing opener Musadiq Ijaz for just 10 runs. Bilal Akbar however kept the momentum going with a valuable contribution of 34 runs before the duo of Muneeb Shah and Khurram Nadeem stepped in to take control of the innings. The two scored a combined 110 runs but despite a fighting display with the bat, the scoreboard pressure proved to be too much and they were unable to see their team to victory. Steel 11's bowlers were backed by a massive target and did little to stop the opposition; it all came down to the batsmen on either side. Chiniot United scored 173 in 20 overs.
Steel 11 won the Khas & Viper Premier League by 51 runs.
