Strikers CC won the toss and batted first against Alliance Sports at the NAC Cup (A partnership of KheloKricket and SportsFever360) this past Sunday.
Strikers were off to a disastrous start with the their top order throwing away their wickets cheaply. Opener Azfar Khan was dismissed for duck and things didn't get any better after that. Number 7 batsmen Nadeem Akthar was the savior for his side with a very valuable 40 off 36 which stopped the implosion. Saad Sultan also chipped in with 15 off 14 lower down the order as Strikers scraped 118 for 9 in 20 overs. Alliance bowlers kept things tight with Ruman Ali, Taha Gul, Anil Ratan and Khurram Rangila taking 2 wickets each.
In response, Alliance Sports lost opener Jibrail Khan for duck and it looked like game over from there. 3 wickets each to Zafar Shah and Faisal Ahmed had Alliance in shambles along with 2 key run outs. Not a single batsman was able to effectively contribute as Alliance Sports were bowled out for 91 in 19.2 overs.
