Jublee Life Insurance Vs Suparco (20 Over Match)
A battle of nerves it was as Suparco chase down 123 against Jublee Life Insurance of the last ball with only one wicket left.
Jublee Life Insurance batted first and after losing an early wicket Zubair Ahmed, M.Farhan and Umair Ayaz batted with responsibility to take them out of the early trouble. Both smashed one six during their stay and at one moment their partnership was looking threatening for Suparco but not for long as M.Farhan was dismissed for 27 and Umair soon followed him after scoring 34. This led to a collapse as Jublee Life Insurance pressed the panic button and not a single batsman was able to resist for long as they managed to score a modest 123 in 18.4. Wahab for Suparco picked up 3 wickets whereas Rafiq and Waqar picked up 2 each.
Suparco chase did not start in the most ideal fashion as they lost Rafiq of the very first ball. Anwar and Wahab soon followed Rafiq back to the pavillion and this left Suparco in deep trouble. Dr Zeeshan and Tariq then resisted for a bit and scored very crucial runs for their side. Dr Zeeshan managed to score 17 whereas Tariq scored 24. Once they were dismissed, Jublee Life Insurance bowlers again came back strongly and put extra pressure on the batsmen. It was a battle of nerves and the see saw battle was then shifted back to suparco's favour as Sadaf Iqbal's cameo of 21 brought his side back in the game but he too was not able to finish off the game and was dismissed by Raghib Moin. The match then went to the last over and then to the last ball and it was Suparco in the end who held their nerve to edge past Jublee Life Insurance in this close battle.
