Super Daddy CC batted first with special guest Andrew McLean at the SKBZ ground this past Friday in a match that was an absolute thriller. SDCC’s Shehryar Qadir was in fine form, knocking a brilliant half century at the top. His partner Rehan also chipped in with 25 runs but the rest of the team fell apart. Outdone by the Dirty Dozen bowlers, wickets fell in quick succession as Super Daddy Cricket Club ended at 133 for 9 in 20 overs. Andrew found himself bamboozled for just 4 runs while Ali Mufti tried to help their side with a 22 run cameo. Dirty Dozen bowlers were in fine form with Bilal, Uzair and Rayed taking 2 wickets each and 2 efficient run outs.
In response, Dirty Dozen were off to a disastrous start in the chase, losing their opener Bilal for duck but the team recovered well after that. Omayr Shaikh knocked a sublime 62 off 55 and was supported by Taimoor Butt’s 25, but the team seemed to fall apart after the duo were dismissed. Despite a brilliant foundation set, what should have been an easy match ended in disaster with Yasir and Sufiyan getting out on duck and Dirty Dozen falling short by the smallest of margins. Zeeshan Momia was fantastic in his spell, picking up 3 wickets.
Super Daddy CC clinched a win by just 4 runs.
