Super Star CC came head to head against the UCP United, in a friendly match played at the Eastern Star Ground.
Batting first, Super Star CC were off to a flying start with opener Farhad Khalid displaying some amazing power hitting to score 59 runs in 38 balls, at a strike rate of 155. Middle order batsman Faisal Shah, then continued the onslaught with a 21 ball innings of 39 runs, with 3 fours and 3 sixes to his name. The pick of the bowlers for UCP United were Farhan Khan and Sajid Khattak, sharing 5 wickets between them. At the end of 20 overs, Super Star CC managed to score a massive 180 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.
Chasing 181 runs, at just over 9 runs an over, UCP United started well with Hazrat Shireen and Salman Masood smacking the ball to all parts of the ground. Hazrat Shireen contributed 33 runs in 27 balls (4 fours) while Salman Masood scored a responsible 37 runs in 36 balls. Sajid Khattak tried to bring his team closer to the target, by a quick 16 ball 37, but failed to do so as UCP United could only manage 149 runs. Faisal Shah was the lead bowler for the Super Star CC, taking 3 wickets for just 23 runs.
The Super Star CC won the match by 31 runs.
