Suriya Fighters and Estate World XI went against each other on 17th October at Lawai Cricket Ground.
Bilal Aslam and Amin Suriya opened the innings for Fighters. Amin lost his wicket on a duck, as he was lbw-ed by Anas. However, Bilal smashed 88 runs off 51 balls only. His innings included 15 boundaries. The bowlers collectively dismissed 5 batters while 2 were run out. Sadiq Suriya scored 32 runs off 18 balls while Umar Suriya smashed 20 runs at a strike rate of 222.22. Hence, Fighters posted a defendable target of 178 runs.
Salman Amin and Fahad Yahya opened the innings for Estate World XI to chase. Both got out on extreme low scores of 7 and 3 respectively. The one-down batter, Aqeel Naeem, lost his wicket on a duck. Hence, the bowlers’ tactics were successful, as the momentum was significantly dented. Though Abdul Rehman Bawany scored 35 runs, however, he was unable to take his team to a winning finish. Asad Sumar led the bowling pack, as he bagged 3 wickets at an economy rate of 5.75. In addition to this, Sadiq Suriya and Mudassir Suriya knocked two wickets each.
As a result, the batters if Estate World XI got under pressure and lost 7 of their wickets. Hence, they were restricted to a score of 135 and the match was won by Fighters.
