Soneri Bank came in to bat first & were off to a flying start. Despite loosing a wicket inside the powerplay they were scoring at a high rate. Mohib Ullah Sheikh & Hussain Akber Ali put up some sort of a partnership before Mohib Ullah Sheikh departed after scoring 15 runs off 13 deliveries. Taha Mirza came in & he took the attack to the bowlers. He scored at a quick rate making full use of the powerplay. While Taha Mirza displayed clean power hitting from one end Hussain Akber Ali kept the score board ticking from the other end. He played a solid knock of 37 runs off 34 deliveries. Rehan Hanif came in & he played a cameo of 31 runs off just 11 deliveries. Taha Mirza continued to strike the ball from the other end. He took apart the bowling lineup smashing every bowler that was brought into the attack. He agonizingly fell short of a well deserved century as he departed after scoring 92 runs off 57 deliveries. The rest of the batting lineup couldn’t do much. Usman Kamran, Huzaifa Rehan & Mehmood Shah picked up a wicket each. Soneri Bank posted a total of 197 runs for the loss of 4 wickets.
National Foods came in to chase this target & were off to a similar start. They too lost a wicket early on but were scoring at a high rate. Mehmood Shah & Ali Nasir put up a partnership of 50+ runs at the top with Ali Nasir taking the attack to the bowlers. He single handedly picked apart the bowling lineup. He middled the ball from ball number one making full use of the powerplay. Mehmood Shah played second fiddle to him as he scored 21 runs off 18 deliveries. Syed Aniq Shah came in & he scored 13 runs off 15 deliveries. Amir Akram came in & he upped the anti. He played a fiery innings of 35 runs off 22 deliveries where as Ali Nasir continued to score at the same pace. He single handedly almost took his team over the line. He played a sublime knock of 97 runs off just 55 deliveries but it was too big of a task for him to achieve alone. Aamir Zafar lead the bowling lineup picking up a couple of wickets. Danish Rehmat, Adnan Sarwar & Shahid Jiwani managed to pickup a wicket each.
