Taheri CC went against Burhani CC on 14th November at the Nadir Burhani Ground. The match was played in the Bohra Champions League Season 8
Batting first, Burhani CC posted a total of 167 runs at the loss of all the wickets. Murtaza Kappo, the one-down batter, was crucial in the innings, as he played a knock of 66 runs at the strike rate of 137.5. The bowlers successfully halted the momentum, as Syed Murtaza Hussain took 3 wickets while Taha Shabbir Qadi took 2.
Much to Taha’s credit Taheri CC had a monstrous start. Taha attacked from the first ball and smashed 65 runs off 46 balls. His innings were played at a strike rate of 141.30, and included 5 fours and 4 sixes. Hussain Murtaza took 2 wickets while only two of his bowling partners, Ammar Muhammad and Ali Asgha Ratlamwala, dismissed a batter each. Hussain Bhai played a crucial innings of 40 off 24, hitting 2 fours and 4 sixes. In addition to this, Ali Asgher Fazal Abbas also played a cameo of 23 runs.
As a result, Taheri CC won the match in the 19th over with 5 wickets to spare.
