Suriya Fighters and Taj Marquee Smashers go against each other on 29th August at Young Fighter Ground.
Bilal Aslam and Umer Saleem opened the innings for Fighters. Where Saleem got out on a duck, however, Aslam managed to score 49 of 26 balls only. The wickets continued to fall for the batsmen of Fighters, on lower scores, as the bowlers dominated. Idrees Amin took 3 wickets. In addition to this, Hamza Mukaty and Noor Moten bagged 2 wickets each. Hence, Fighters set a target of 122 runs only getting all out in the 18th over.
Asad Asif and Uzair Aslam opened the innings for Smashers. Where Asad got out on 17 runs only, Aslam scored 52 runs and remained not out. In addition to this, Saad Faisal and Kashif Tajani’s cameos were crucial in the chase. The bowlers displayed a mediocre bowling effort, though Amin Suriya bagged 2 wickets.
As a result, Smashers chased the score in the 14th over only and won the match by 6 wickets.
