Askari Life batted first against Takaful Pakistan and were completely outdone by a fantastic display of bowling! After opener Umair Siddique was dismissed on the very first ball of the innings, the team panicked, throwing away their wickets to be skittled out for a low 78 in 15.5 overs. Asfar Zaidi was the only exception in his team with a fighting 40. Takaful bowlers were on fire with Habib Ullah Khan taking 3 wickets while Umair Ali, Kamran Hanif and Ahmed Maqsood took 2 wickets each.
In response, Takaful Pakistan were also off to a rocky start after losing both openers cheaply. The team however recovered easily after that with Hammad Mughal contributing a valuable 41 off 23. Ahmed Maqsood also chipped in with 21 as Takaful chased down the low target in 9.1 overs. Umar Khan took 2 wickets and Atif Usman picked up a wicket in vain.
Takaful Pakistan won by 7 wickets.
