This big game turned out to be a complete one sided fixture as Nazeer Hussain Gymkhana were beaten in all 3 departments. They were completely outplayed by a far better team on the day, Tanishq Gold CC. Nazeer Hussain Gymkhana batted first and even after a bright start they could not capitalize on it and lost their way in the middle. The openers, Farhan Asif and Kashif Barooq scored 33 and 15 respectively and after them they were complete destroyed by the opposition. Naimat Khan was the one to trigger the collapse as he picked up first 3 wickets for just 18 runs, Azhar Shah then joined in with 3 wickets and Yaseen picked up 2. A very good bowling performance it was and it helped them restrict a strong batting lineup to just 108.
Tanishq Gold had to chase a modest 108 but they were not going to do it in single doubles, an incredible innings was played by Mirza Shoaib at the top to set his team on a great start. He was in no mood to play it safe and take the game to the last over, he was in a hurry and he smashed the bowlers to all ends of the park during his majestic effort of 61 which came off just 25 balls, he hit 5 maximums during his powerful knock. Abdul Samad gaba and Haider Ali supported him during the innings as they scored 13 and 27 respectively. There was no reprieve for the bowlers and they were taken to the cleaners. The chase was done and dusted only in 11 overs.
