The in form Bawa Defence United beat Al Hamra by 7 wickets in the 3rd MTAX CPL match played on 21-10-2015 at the Moin Khan Cricket Academy.
Batiing first, Al Hamra made 182 in their 20 overs at the loss of 5 wickets. All the batsmen played their part with Omar Jehangir top scoring making 48 of 29 deliveries before Adnan Qaiser got past his defence to shatter the woodwork. Kashif Younis chipped in with 31 before Danish Alvi led a late surge to get Al Hamra to a defendable total of 182.
In response, the Bawa Defence batsmen came out on the front foot dispatching the Al Hamra bowlers to all parts of the ground. Opener Imran Qamar scored 51 of just 24 balls before being dismissed by Asif Buksh. Ahmed Bawa led his team from the front finishing with a half century of 28 deliveries along side Ahmed Waqar who remained unbeaten on 48. An exceptional batting performance by both the top and middle orders meant Bawa achieved the total with more than 4 overs to spare.&a
