Thunder Knights beat Vital Tea in a match held in the SPL Season 5.
Batting first, Thunder Knights struggled as they lost both their openers early for scores of 1 and 6 respectively. However, middle order batsman Ahmed Asif steadied the team with his 29 off 19 balls. Jamil Agha played a fantastic innings of 83 off 60 balls, hitting 9boundaries and remaining not out. Ali Zain’s quickfire 20 runs at the bottom of the order also helped the team as they reached 163 runs. Idrees Amin took 2 wickets for his side.
Vital Tea were off to a good start as Uzair Aslam made 24 off 15 balls while Umair Parachi scored 17 off 18 balls. Fareed Agha’s 36 off 33 balls along with Farhan Maxi’s 22 off 16 balls moved the team forward. Despite their efforts, the team was short only 2 runs, and were defeated in a close match. Zohaib Baghdadi bagged 3 wickets while Safdar Khokhar took 2.
Thunder Knights won by 2 runs.
