TPL insurance beat EFU General by 34 runs at the Asghar Ali Shah Ground last week.
TPL came to bat first and immediately started scoring heavy as openers Qaiser Hussain and Kashif Rajput made 35 and 32 runs respectively. Ammar Zaidi made 28 from 17 and Muhammad Kamran made 25 from 11. Zunair Mehmood and Ahmed Nawaz took one wicket each while Nadeem Baig took two.
EFU General struggled to get runs on the scoreboard as the upper order collapsed quickly. Intikhab Ahmed was looking like he was going to score big but was stopped for 27 from 26. Despite a last ditch effort from Nadeem Baig who made 48 from 26, EFU was unable to chase the target. Ahmer Anjum took three wickets while Syed Ather Ahmed Jafri and Muhammad Kamran took two and Sharib Hussain and Jawwad Haider took one.
