Century Insurance batted first against TPL at the Insurance Premier League Season 2.
The batting side did well to post runs on the board, and despite losing wickets frequently, they managed to score a respectable 154 in 19.3 overs. Mirza Saqib Baig was the real star for his side with a sensational 63 off 26 which included 4 fours and 6 sixes, but he needed a partner to boost his side further. TPL bowlers did well to keep things in check, picking up wickets consistently with Jawwad Haider, Kashif Rajput and Taimoor Usmani taking 2 wickets each.
In response, TPL Insurance lost opener Kashif Rajput for 5 runs but it was smooth sailing after that. Qaiser Hussain knocked 64 off 45 and remained not out to carry his side to an easy win. Aashir Siddiqui and Ali Haider scored 30 and 43 as TPL Insurance chased down the target in 16.2 overs. Century's bowlers were relatively ineffective against the opposition.
TPL Insurance won by 8 wickets.
