Foundation Estate CC batted first against Trail Blazers at the final of the 5th Super Challengers Saturday Cup with their top order stumbling to get runs on the board. After opener Alam Zaib was dismissed for just 2 runs, the team could not find stable ground and continued to lose wickets throughout. Trail Blazers did well to capitalize on the early breakthroughs, with Umer Khan and Afzal Gigi taking 3 wickets each while Adee Abbasi picked up a couple to restrict Foundation Estate CC to 128 for 9 in 20 overs. Hamza Shahnawaz was the true savior for his side with a fighting 45 run innings that helped his side post a modest total.
In response, Trai Blazers put together a few reasonable cameos to get to the finish line. Faisal Butt's 18, Waqar Hafeez's 36 and Usman Ghani's 22 and Adeel Abbasi's 18 helped their side to an easy victory in 18.4 overs. Foundation bowlers tried hard to pick wickets with Muhammad Sufiyan being the pick of the lot with his 2 wickets but could not stop the flow of runs.
Trail Blazers won by 5 wickets and were crowned champions.
