Karachi Fighters batted first & they got off to a shaky start as they lost three early wickets. Opener Kamran Hasan Khan, though, displayed exceptional batting skills, scoring a blazing half-century off just 21 deliveries. His aggressive knock provided the Fighters with a solid foundation. Noman Suriya contributed 21 runs off 23 balls before departing. As the innings progressed, Muhammad Farhad took charge and played a scintillating innings, smashing 61 runs off just 21 deliveries. His explosive hitting included several boundaries and maximums, adding valuable runs to the Fighters’ total. Naseer Khan also joined the party, hammering a quickfire 34 runs off only 13 balls. However, the remaining batsmen failed to contribute significantly, and the Fighters were eventually bowled out for 214 runs in 19.3 overs. Muhammad Anas Waheed and Sadiq Suriya were the pick of the bowlers for the Strikers, claiming two wickets each.
In response, Karachi Strikers began their chase with high hopes but stumbled early on, losing two quick wickets. Umair Tariq and Ejaz Khan tried to stabilize the innings with their respective contributions of 31 runs off 27 balls and 28 runs off 17 balls. However, the rest of the batting lineup crumbled under pressure and struggled to put up a fight against the formidable Fighters’ bowling attack. Umer Hussain emerged as the star performer for the Fighters, wreaking havoc on the Strikers’ batting order. He claimed a sensational six-wicket haul, dismantling the opposition with his exceptional bowling skills. Zeeshan Ahmed also chipped in with two crucial wickets to support the team’s dominant performance. Karachi Strikers were eventually bowled out for a mere 134 runs in 17.3 overs.
