City Tiles batted first against Delhi Boyz at the DCCL Season 3 match. Tiles batters however struggled throughout their innings, unable to build on some decent starts and really get the momentum going. Opener Yahya Rizwan tried with a handy 21 while Faizan Shoaib and Najmus Saqib kept the momentum going with 34 and 31 runs respectively but were unable to capitalize any further before being dismissed. Delhi Boyz bowlers did well to keep the opposition in check with Umer Tasleem leading the unit with his 3 wickets. Faisal Ahmed, Shoaib and also took 2 wickets each as City Tiles ended at 149 for 8 in 20 overs.
In response, Delhi Boyz Umer Tasleem was having the game of his career! After his brutal spell of 3 wickets, the opener then went on to produce a sublime 75 off just 50 balls and remained not out to carry his side to victory. Humayun Nadeem also chipped in with 37 runs as Delhi Boyz raced to chase down the target in 18.1 overs. City Tiles bowlers were ineffective against the opposition, unable to really pick wickets when needed.
Delhi Boyz won by 7 wickets.
