Unity v Allied Friends (20 over match)
Unity batted first and had a rocky start, losing both openers Fahad and Haroon for just 14 runs. Bilal Iqbal then stepped in to stabilize the innings, scoring a quick cameo of 37 runs. Musaddiq (40) and Bilal Amin (42) were the real saviors for their side, contributing runs with the bat and keeping the scoreboard ticking. The rest of the team was unable to keep their wickets intact and were outdone by a wonderful display of bowling by Allied Friends. Shehzad Maqbool and Mudassir took wickets at key times and helped stop the flow of runs, picking up 2 wickets each. The rest of the bowlers also chipped in to provide support. Unity posted a target of 171 in 20 overs.
In response, Allied Friends opener Mustafa Mazhar (3) lost his wicket early on in the innings. Nadeem Saleem (26) and Haris Maqbool (32) then put on a fight with an impressive half century partnership before losing their wickets to a fantastic spell by Bilal Qaiser. The team lost wickets regularly after that before Omer Iftikhar's cameo of 31 runs threatened the opposition. The bowlers however were in-form and ready to charge with Bilal Qaiser being the key striker with 4 wickets and Ali Nasir taking 2 wickets to inflict further damage. Allied Friends were restricted to 126 in 20 overs.
