Unity XI v Khas
Khas & Viper Premier League (Season 2)- Semi Final
Fahad Iqbal and Haroon Mehmood were the opening pair for their side in the first innings against the Khas. Both of them scored a total of 20 runs together and lost their wickets afterwards. Bilal Iqbal was the third man in and was the stat batsman for the first innings with his brilliant performance with bat, he scored 56 runs off 33 balls and that included 10 boundaries. Ali Iqbal and Hassan Ahmed scored a 55 runs partnership that kept the scoreboard ticking for their team. Kamran Vohra was the last player to score big runs and get them up on the scoreboard. He scored 43 runs and remained not out till the innings ended. After 20 overs, Unity XI had scored a total of 201 runs for Khas to chase in the second innings.
Hassan Sohail gave a decent start to his side by scoring 30 runs at the start of the second innings. Khurram Ashfaq was the third man in and he came to rescue his team for ultimate failure. He scored 47 runs but lost his wicket to the brutal Ali Amin who wasn’t letting any batsman breathe or get in their form. Yasir Tanveer and Haseeb scored 42 runs partnership which was broken by Ali Amin. Farhan Iftikhar was the last batsman to score 30 runs and he also fell victim to Ali Amin’s superb spell. Ali Amin had 5 wickets to his name. After losing 9 wickets and at the end of 20 overs, Khas scored 172 runs.
Unity XI won by 29 runs and cruised to the finals.
