Veterans SI Global beat Al Hussaini CC, in dominating fashion, by 81 runs at the SRE Majeed Ground last week.
The Veterans once again proved their dominance as opener Khurram Sarwar smashed 116 runs from just 53 balls. This was followed by a flurry of consistent knocks as Umair Usman helped finish the innings with 34 from 20 bringing the team total to 222. Asif Khan took two wickets while Saqib Badar Hussain, Aslam Bhatti and Sajid Khursheed took one wicket each.
Al Hussaini tried to fight back but did not even come close as they were only able to make 141 runs. Adnan Maqsood made 29 from 26, Saqib Badar Hussain made 24 from 20 and Shakeel Ahmed made 48 from 37. Asim Tanveer, Muhammad Mubarak, Imran Ullah Sheikh, Saqib Jamal Khatak and Umair Usman took one wicket each.
