Viper United batted first and were off to a promising start as Hamza Tahir looked in astonishing touch. He smashed 2 mighty sixes in his short innings but unfortunately he could not bat for long and lost his wicket after scoring 17 runs. Mubashir and Kashif then carried the innings forward and kept the scoreboard ticking and the momentum in their team's favor, scoring 44 and 30 respectively. The rest of the batsmen however struggled against a formidable bowling attack. Faraz Suleman was the key bowler taking 3 wickets and was further supported by Musaddiq and Asif who picked up 2 wickets each to limit the opposition. The innings ended on a high as Hassan Ahmed scored 2 sixes during his cameo of 21. Viper posted a target of 188 in 20 overs.
Chiniot United in response were up for the challenge and they started the chase in a positive fashion smacking each bowler and laying a perfect platform for their batsmen. Bilal and Khurram scored 23 and 21 respectively with 4 fours each. The innings was on rise as Musaddiq then joined the party and played his part in setting up a perfect match, he scored 51 off 29 balls with 4 sixes and 5 fours giving his team the boost they required to chase down the total. However, things took a turn as Viper's bowlers fought back with Bilal Humayun doing maximum damage and picking up 3 key wickets. Hamza Tahir also bowled an incredible spell of 3 overs giving away only 12 runs and picking up a wicket. The match had slipped away from Chiniot United and despite the heroics of some of their members, they were unable to get over the line. They managed to score 186 and lost crushingly by only 2 runs.
