DMC Hawks batted first in this important fixture and were off to an ideal start, Kashif and Safi were the two who gave a perfect platform to their side even after losing an early wicket. Kashif Mushtaq played a second fiddle role and supported his partner Safi out in the middle, he rotated strike and quietly built up his innings, he scored 35 of 30 balls with 2 boundaries and his partner on the other hand was in threatening mood, he smashed the bowlers during his powerful knock of 83 which came of just 50 balls with 3 mighty sixes and 6 fours. The stage was set for Hawks to take advantage of the situation but instead they threw it away as Viper XI came back all guns blazing and restricted the middle and lower order from scoring much in dying overs. Mubasir picked up 2 crucial wickets and gave away just 25 while others chipped in as well. In the end, Hawks managed to score 178 in their 20 overs.
In response, Viper got off to a flying start, they were chasing big and they needed just the start that they got. Waqas and Shoukat took advantage of the field restriction and played some big shots in opening partnership. They together added more than 50 runs at a quick rate. Waqas scored 29 of 18 whereas Shoukat managed 30 of 19. This early assault, gave a strong message to DMC Hawks. After a fine start, Usama and Abuzar carried the innings forward and scored 40 and 33 respectively to inch closer to the target. Viper were in the hunt of the target the entire innings, but they had a setback when both their setteled batsmen were dismissed. The match went till the last over and much to the delight for Viper XI, Faraz Rafique connected one and smashed out of the park to give his side a close victory.
