In a Group B fixture of the 17th Challengers Cup, the ZMCC took on the VMA Suleman Textile, in a match played at the Asifabad Ground.
Batting first, the ZMCC were off to a shaky start, losing their top 4 batsmen early in the innings. However, the middle order stood firm with Jamal Amir leading the recovery, with a solid 49 runs in 29 balls. Fellow batsmen Danish Moin also played well to contribute a run a ball 24. The pair shared 6 fours and 3 sixes between them. For VMA Suleman Textiles, Imran Idrees was the pick of the bowler, taking 3 wickets for 20 runs, while Naveed Rangoonia scalped 2 wickets also.
