Abdul Wali's all-round performance set his side to a comfortable 5 wicket win over Strikers CC.
Strikers CC batted first and were off to a reasonable start as both their openers started the innings sensibly and formed a good partnership. Sajjad Ali smashed 2 sixes in his 29 ball 29 runs whereas Waqar got to 11 before he was dismissed by Adeel A Majid. After the openers were dismissed, middle order could not bat for long and the wickets for Strikers CC fell in a heap. Shahrukh and Usman gave some stability to the innings down the order with 32 and 28 respectively but this effort only took them to a modest 138. The pick of the bowler was Abdul Wali with his 3 wickets.
The chase was off to a shocker for Warriors CC as both their openers were dismissed quite early. But then Salman and Umair formed a much needed partnership for their side but Umair once got settled lost his wicket for 10 and this brought Abdul Wali to the crease. Abdul Wali after his inspiring bowling performance provided another brilliant innings this time with the bat as he smashed 46 crucial runs with 4 fours. He was supported by Salman who scored 27 of 32 and in the end Warriors CC got over the line quite comfortably with 5 wickets in hand.
