Warriors CC Vs ICT (15th Challengers Cup)
Warriors CC defend 154 with the help of fine bowling effort from their bowlers against ICT.
Warriors CC batted first and were off to a shaky start as they lost couple of their wickets quite early in the innings. The wickets slowed them down and they went into rebuilding phase. On the other hand, bowlers kept the pressure on the batting side and did not allow them to come hard at them. At one stage the innings was going nowhere for Warriors CC until Akhter and Ahmed came in the middle, both scored valuable 30s for their side. Ahmed's contribution was a more notable one as he lifted the entire team with his quick cameo. In the end Warriors CC managed to score 154.
The late assault shifted the momentum in Warriors CC favor and they took that in the second inning as they came hard from the beginning on ICT. The openers were dismissed early and since then Warriors CC did not allow ICT to come back in the game. The bowling effort was splendid lead by Adeel and Farhan as both picked up 3 wickets each and never allowed the batsman to settle in. The other bowlers also supported their team with great spells and in the end they restricted Warriors CC to just 113 and comfortably won by 41 runs.
