Hush Puppies Vs Bawa Defence United (Khas and Viper League)
Bawa Defence beats Hush Puppies in a very tight contest which was made possible by the superb performance of it's batting order.
Hush Puppies were off to a very good start with their opening pair in the first innings. Both of the batsmen gave their side an exciting head start and placed decent runs on the scoreboard to start with. Waqas Ali Vohra scored 37 runs off 29 balls and Asif Hayat scored 27 runs off 16 balls. The two were in great form but unfortunately had to go back to the dressing room after loosing their wickets. Asad Arshad was the third batsmen to score a couple of decent runs for his side and he added 34 runs to the total. After his dismissal the entire team batting order came stumbling down and Hush Puppies was loosing wickets rapidly without making an impact on the scoreboard. Imran Qamar bowled a beautiful spell of 3 overs and picked up 2 wickets for the Bawa Defence United. Hush Puppies scored a total of 141 runs in 20 overs.
Bawa Defence was off to a relatively slow start compared to what we saw in the first innings. The opening pair were able to give a good start but not that great. Imran Qamar scored 15 runs and Kashif Khalid scored 11 runs. Soon after their dismissal came in Ahmed Waqar and Rizwan Aziz, who were the game changers for their side. Ahmed Waqar scored 22 runs and Rizwan Aziz scored a beautiful 51 runs, shortening the margin of the chase. Waqas Arshad played the winning shots and Bawa Defence United chased the target in 18 overs. It was a very close call for them because Hush Puppies was trying real hard with the ball and Asif Hayat along with Waqas Ali Vohra picked up 2 wickets each.
