Rebels CC were off to a bumpy start with their opening pair in the first innings of the match. Farhan Asif and Abbas Raza were on the top of their game with their strong bowling attack and contained the batting side from scoring big runs. Haris came in at number three and scored 27 runs which was a start for his side on the scoreboard. Muhammad Waseem and Ghazanfer Baloch seemed to be going great with the bat and they carried a 69 runs partnership, but M. Faizan put an end to their partnership with his brutal bowling spell and picked up 4 wickets. In 20 overs, Rebels CC seemed to have scored a total of 135 runs for the Nazeer Hussain Gymkhana to chase in the second innings.
Nazeer Hussain Gymkhana were off to a slow start in the second innings, when Amin went down for a duck and Kashif Barooq scored 10 runs. Farhan Asif was the third man in and he scored 17 runs for his team. The top batting order failed to perform and one of the reasons for their failure was Wasiq who picked up 3 wickets. Muhammad Ahsan Zafar and M. Faizan were the shining batsmen from the middle batting order, who gave their best to take their side to glory. Ahsan Zafar scored 75 runs off 38 balls and M. Faizan scored 26 runs which was enough for their team to reach the target and enjoy the victory.
