On 12-10-15, the Wintex Strikers kicked off the MPL with a win over Mars Thunders at the Rashid Latif Cricket Ground.
Batting first, the Mars Thunders were bowled out for 146 with Adeel Iqbal contributing majority of the runs scoring 51 of 28 balls before being run out. The Spoils were evenly distributed amongst the bowlers as Adeel Abbasi, Saad Dawood and Sameer all picked up 2 wickets each.
In response, Samad Ghani led the run chase scoring a half century of just 39 balls. The Wintex Strikers achieved the target with an over to spare at the loss of only 4 wickets. Ahmed was the pick of the bowlers for Mars Thunders grabbing two wickets at the expense of 35 runs in his 4 overs.
