Al Hamza Sports batted first against Shadab CC at the BBPL Season 3 Final.
With the exception of opener Ahmed Hussain who fell cheaply for 4 runs, Al Hamza batsmen were in fine touch. Shahid Mirani and Nadeem Khan contributed fiery knocks of 40 and 48 while Asif Izhar was the real star with a blistering 69. Al Hamza posted a competitive 181 for 4 in 20 overs. Shadab bowlers were relatively weak against the opposition with only Ikram Ul Haq making any impact with his 2 wickets.
In response, Shadab CC pulled off a victory thanks to one man only, Zeeshan Haider. While the rest of his side crumbled under pressure, Zeeshan knocked an impressive century, scoring 103 off just 56 balls including 12 fours. Al Hamza Sports bowlers did well to pick wickets but couldn't take his soon enough as Shadab CC chased down the target in 19 overs. Saqib Khan lead the bowling attack with his 3 wickets while Mamoon Imtiaz picked up a couple.
Shadab CC won by 8 wickets and have won the tournament.
