Inspirational innings from Syed Baqar and then Zeeshan Nasir's brilliance with bowl took Shadab Sports to a comfortable win over Al Bari C.C.
Shadab Sports batted first in the 20 over game against Al Bari C.C at RLCA. There innings was of to a average start. Azam of Al Bari C.C bowled accurately and held tight lines and did not give much to the batsman. He dismissed Shadab Sports first wicket Umair Zahid for 3 . Osama Naeem was aggressive at the top and he utilized the powerplay overs well and scored quick 28 of 14 before he was caught by Azam of his own bowling. Talha Faheem then was partnered by Syed Baqar and this partnership was the highlight of Shadab Sports innings. Talha Faheem played the second fiddle role he milked the bowlers and made sure that strike was rotated. Syed Baqar on the other hand took on the bowlers and smashed them around, scoring at the brisk pace and not giving any time to bowlers to settle. The partnership took Shadab Sports to a competetive 183 for 8 in their 20 overs.
With a challenge in hand the batsmen for Al Bari C.C walked out. Zeeshan Nasir who had an extraordinary day with the bowl for Shadab Sports put Al Bari CC batsmen under pressure from the start as he dismissed Mahaish for a golden duck. After his dismissal Abdullah and Bilal repaired the early damage with their sensible knocks. Both were playing brilliant cricket and were slowly bringing Al Bari C.C in the game. Their partnership was becoming threatning for Shadab Sports until a moment of brilliance in the field broke the partnership, Abdullah was dissmissed run out due to lack of communication and brilliant fielding by Shadab Sports fielders. After that partnership wickets fell at regular intervals for Al Bari C.C, though Salman with his 26 of 14 tried to rescue the sinking ship but it was not enough as they only made 151 in their 20 overs and lost the game by 32 runs. Zeeshan Nasir was the pick of the bowler picking up 3 wickets by just giving away 18 runs.
