Outstanding Opals Vs Zippy Zircon

It was a big game and Outstanding Opals were hoping for a much better fight than they gave to Zippy Zicron in actual. It was a complete one sided affair as Outstanding Opals were dismal in their performance. Outstanding Opals batted first and were off to a poor start losing the openers quite early and it set the tone of the innings, they kept losing wickets one after another and never gained any momentum in their entire innings. Mufaddal Najmi was fantastic as he picked up 4 wickets and led from the front, he was supported by Murtaza and Abbas who picked up 2 wickets each and bowled quite economically. Outstanding Opals could only manage to score 96 in their allotted 20 overs.
The target was a mere 97 but Zippy Zircon were off to a worst possible start in their chase. Their top order fell like a house of cards. All three of their top order wickets were dismissed for a duck. Outstanding Opals made early inroads but the duo of Safdar and Hussain calmed the situation and slowly and steadily rescued the sinking ship with their partnership. They were cautious to start with but as soon as they got settled they opened up their arms and started smashing the bowlers all around the park. Safdar scored 46 of 34 whereas Hussain scored 40 of 31 balls. In the end, Zippy Zircon won it comfortably by 7 wickets in 12 overs.
