ZMCC Vs Super Star C.C (15th Challengers Cup)
ZMCC's top batting order proved to be the winning factor in the match against Super Star C.C.
The first innings was an interesting one to watch when ZMCC stepped on the pitch to bat first against Super Star C.C in the 15th Challengers Cup. The top batting order was in quite good form, where Sohail Fazal scored 42 just off 29 balls with a superb strike rate. Shahid Ghayas and Saif Uallah played a wonderful innings where Saif Ullah scored 43 runs just off 25 balls and Shahid backed him up by scoring 28 runs. Saad Dawood from the Super Star C.C took 2 wickets while giving away only 22 runs. ZMCC scored a total of 186 runs in 20 overs at the loss of 7 wickets.
Second innings did not turn out to be as lucky for the Super Star players when they started to chase the huge total set by ZMCC. The opening pair was dismissed quite early in the match. Waqar Hafiz tried to put up some runs on the scoreboard for his side and he scored 23 runs, but was unfortunately stopped in his tracks. Shehriyar scored 31 runs, but that did not make a difference for his side, as the top and the middle battening order didn't score anything decent and the Super Star C.C were unable to chase the target. They scored 112 runs in 20 overs. Afzal Qureshi from the ZMCC picked up 3 wickets.
ZMCC won by 74 runs.
